Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 March 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They help the website recognise your device and remember certain information about your visit, such as your preferences and whether you are logged in.

2. Our Use of Cookies

The public pages of MadarisHub (madarishub.co.uk) do not set any cookies on your device. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind.

When you browse our public Website (landing page, privacy policy, cookie policy, etc.) no information is stored on your device.

3. Authenticated Users

If you are a registered user and log in to the MadarisHub platform, we use your browser’s session storage (not cookies) to maintain your authenticated session. Session storage is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab or window.

The data stored in session storage includes:

  • Authentication tokens: Managed by the Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL) via Microsoft Entra ID. These enable secure sign-in and are stored in sessionStorage, not as cookies.
  • Tenant selection: Your currently selected organisation is kept in sessionStorage so it persists while you navigate the platform.

None of this data is sent to third parties or used for tracking purposes. It exists solely to keep you securely logged in during your session.

4. Cookie Consent

Because we do not set any cookies on the public Website, and our authenticated platform uses only session storage (which is exempt under UK GDPR as a strictly necessary technical mechanism), we do not display a cookie consent banner. If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and implement an appropriate consent mechanism.

5. Managing Browser Storage

If you wish to clear session storage data from the authenticated platform, you can:

  • Close your browser tab or window (session storage is automatically cleared).
  • Use your browser’s developer tools to manually clear session storage.
  • Use “Clear browsing data” in your browser settings.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
